  1. “Very comfortable, peaceful location – an oasis.”
    4 of 5 starsReviewed 24 October 2014
This Riad is in a very peaceful location with 4 and a half acres of grounds and a swimming pool to relax in. The accommodation is very comfortable whether you want to sit outside in the sun, outside under cover or inside the covered areas of the courtyard or inside – there are plenty of choices. The en-suite bedrooms are spacious and comfortable too. All meals can be provided and the food is good. Mohamed and his team are very accommodating and transport is provided for trips into Marrakech. Mohamed also arranged some excellent trips into the mountains for us, as a mountain guide and tour guide he has lots to offer visitors.

  2. “Wonderful, a very special place!”

My husband and I stayed for three nights at Riad Bledna over Easter 2014. We were looking for a quieter place outside of the bustle of Marrakech and we found it. This place is just wonderful, really beautiful Riad and very friendly staff who went out of their way to help us and make our stay relaxing and comfortable. The food is super tasty, so much so that we ate in for two nights and shared a table with the other guests. Good conversation, good company, good food. Great for families – an extended family could take over the whole Riad. Reasonably priced. The location from the centre isn’t a problem as free transport is offered to and from. We hope to return again!

  3. “Beautiful Oasis”

I was staying at a different Ryad in the Medina in Marrakech and I was having a terrible time. Mohammed who owns Riad Bledna totally saved my holiday! I found this Riad in my lonely planet guide and phoned to arrange a trip there for the day to swim. Mohammed came and collected me at my hotel and I had a peaceful day at the pool. I was the only person there and got to enjoy the sun, pool and beautiful garden all to myself. Lunch was gorgeous and Mohammed was so incredibly kind and accommodating. He helped arrange tours, trips and lifts for me even though I wasn’t staying at his Riad. I spent the rest of my days in Marrakech at Riad Beldna in relaxing bliss. It is away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh so it is very peaceful and quiet.

Mohammed originally ran a tour company so the tours he arranges are off the beaten track, showing you a non touristy side to the beautiful country he clearly loves. Riad Bledna, ran by Mohammed and his family, was one of the only places I went where I did not feel ripped off. Everything was a very fair price. It also seemed like a great place for a family with kids. They had a small jungle gym and a shallow area of the pool.

A place I would 100% recommend and I would stay again.

  4. “Wonderful family stay”

For the second time we spent our May holiday with the family in Morocco.
This time we combined a trip to the desert with a long stay at the beginning and end, at Riad Bledna.
Riad Bledna is wonderful for families as you have the combination of swimming pool, a grass area which is surrounded by beautiful plants and very charming quiet places to read books or play games. The Riad itself is carefully decorated with beautiful moroccan characteristics, which gives you the special moroccan feel. The owner mohammed and his friendly staff try to give you the most special time in morocco. They really try and make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our four children ( age 8,11,12 &14) love coming back from hectic and hot Marrakech to dive in the pool or play a game. If you have a chance we would definitely recommend spending some time here!

  5. “I’m glad we only had to stay for the day”
    3 of 5 starsReviewed 2 weeks ago
We visited Riad Bledna for a pool/lunch day. I can only be thankful that it was for one day only. The place was deserted, apart from one other couple we were the only people there. We were collected from Jemaa el Fna square as arranged, but as soon as we arrived, we were left to it, no welcome from the owners. We were given a couple of old towels and didn’t see anyone again. We had to hunt down some staff to order some drinks. We ordered Moroccan tea and a coffee, the teapot had leaked all over the tray and the tea tasted like it had been brewing since the morning, there was no milk or sugar for the coffee. Lunch was a beautiful Moroccan salad but unfortunately the chicken was raw in the middle, so we left this. There was a large outdoor bathroom area/changing area, which didn’t have electricity or water. The fabric on the sun loungers was ripped and smelt damp and were dirty.
The oxygenated pool, was just a cheap pump filtration system, nothing special. Please don’t be fooled by the amazing pictures on the website, they are a far, far cry from the reality of this place. Such a shame, it could be amazing.
